- Hi Dave - The guitars are beauties! I also like that vox amp. Sorry to hear about your tough run lately but I'm sure that a man of your talents will be back at it very soon. I got out of radio a long time ago but feel I've continued in its spirit online. A lot of what I learned in my radio days I've applied to writing on the web. I had stopped playing music, too, until about a year and a half ago. My then 11-year-old son was taking guitar lessons with a terrific teacher and I decided to take lessons too. It's just so much fun. My axe of choice is a Gretsch SonicJet, which is very much like the Duo Jet which of course is basically Gretsch's version of the Les Paul. I also have a Roger McGuinn signature Martin 7-string acoustic, which is very cool. My next guitar will be a Telecaster, I think. Can you tell I'm hooked on it? - Ain't this great? I'm still in Connecticut. Middletown, to be exact. Have you seen my Norwalk High website? It has contact info for a lot of the class of 1972, as well as an online copy of the yearbook, among other things. There is also a big section about Norwalk bands. My brother Jon is still playing for a living, and I set up a website for him where you can read a very interesting multimedia history of his career from its start in 1957 to the present. There are also a lot of MP3's and many recent videos. The Norwalk High site is rememberNHS.com, and my brother's site is JonManners.com.
