I was at Manny's from 1997-2005 and I ran the guitar department starting in 2000. The place may be gone but many of us are still around and it was the people that made Manny's the place it was. Ian's still on 48th Street, Judd is at Guitar Center and I own Guitar Man downtown on Orchard St.
