"My first visit to Manny's was when I was 18. It was my first summer semester at Berklee School of Music. I was told by my Sax teacher Bill Pierce I needed to buy a Selmer Saxaphone and that my old student band model just wouldn't do anymore. I came to Manny's knowing I would get my money's worth. I spent all my hard earned grass cutting and painting money on this saxaphone which became my ticket to ride making my dreams of playing with some of the "big time" musicians a reality. For many years after when in New York I would always visit Manny's. I would come into purchase mostly sound equipment and the wall would blow me away. It became quite an obsession while visiting the store, more appropriately a Musicians Wall of Fame" Artie DeMello - Boston
