I LOVED WORKING AT MANNYS!!!
I HAD THE PLEASURE BEING THE ACCESSORIES MANAGER @ MANNYS IN THE 90S,I MET SO MANY GREAT PEOPLE JUST WORKING THE COUNTER!! I WAS ALWAYS ASKING HENRY ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE STORE,WHICH I PASSED ON TO CUSTOMERS WHO WERE INTERESTED.I WAS THERE WHEN BO DIDDLEY GAVE HENRY A STATUE OF HIMSELF WHICH WE PUT IN THE WINDOW FOR A XMAS DISPLAY.I ALSO GOT SEVERAL SIGNED PHOTOS OF FAMOUS CUSTOMERS THAT I THOUGHT DESERVED TO BE ON THE WALL,LIKE JAMES COTTON,SON SEALS AND BO DIDDLEY!! I LOVED MANNYS FOR WHAT IT WAS,A GREAT PLACE TO WORK AND ON ANY GIVEN DAY YOU NEVER KNEW WHO WAS GONNA COME IN.LONG LIVE MANNYS!! MY LOVE AND RESPECT TO THE GOLDRICH FAMILY FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY AND THE EXPERIENCE TO WORK AT SUCH A GREAT PLACE AND A LANDMARK! IM GLAD I WAS A PART OF IT PRE SAM ASH-MYKEL GARRETT
